Event // Self Made City Urban Walk
An urban walk led by Kristien Ring, looking at self initiated urban projects.
Taking ideas of self initiated development as its focal point, the Self Made City walking tour visited many sites and projects in Berlin that manifest the urban principles in both built and organizational form that are described in the publications ‘Self Made City’ and ‘Urban Living’. Participants considered the question “How might new processes in architectural production lead to sustainable development?”, alongside questions of how the decisions of policy-makers enable new typologies and hybrid programs for living and working; not just in Berlin – but within the conditions of cities worldwide.
Saturday 27 July 2015, Self Made City Spaziergang as part of the MakeCity Festival.
